1

Install the Add-in

Install GoFixly from the Microsoft AppSource marketplace, or from inside Excel via Home > Add-ins (or Insert > Add-ins on older ribbons). See the full installation walkthrough for screenshots of each step.

Once installed, Excel gets a new GoFixly tab on the ribbon with buttons for Home, Build, AI, History, New Report, and New Deck, plus content buttons (Title, Comment, Table, Chart, Picture) for adding to a report.

2

Click the GoFixly ribbon tab, then Home, to open the task pane. Sign in from there. If you don't have an active subscription yet, the Home tab shows a trial banner with a Start Free Trial button. Your 14-day trial doesn't require a credit card.

3

Try It with Sample Data (optional)

New to GoFixly? On the Home tab, click Generate Sample Data. This builds a ready-made income statement worksheet in your workbook, then automatically creates a sample Word report already populated with content and switches you to the Build tab, a working example to explore before you touch your own data.

4

Create a Report

Click New Report on the ribbon (or New Deck for a PowerPoint presentation) to create a report definition, or open the Build tab and use the report switcher at the top. Give it a name. The ribbon's content buttons stay disabled until a report is active.

5

Add Content

With a report active, select a cell, range, table, or chart in Excel and click the matching ribbon button: Title, Comment, Table, Chart, or Picture. That adds it to the report. Or click Find with AI in the Build tab to have the assistant scan the workbook and suggest content for you.

See the

Build tab reference for the full list of content types and how to reorder them.

6

Configure and Generate

Open Report settings in the Build tab to set the title, author, cover page or theme, and other output options. When everything looks right, click Generate Report (or Generate Presentation). The finished file shows up in the History tab, ready to download.
