1

Prepare Your Presentation Content in Excel

Start with the workbook that contains your charts, tables, and analysis. No slide template needed.

Focus on the visual quality of your charts and tables in Excel: colors, labels, axis formatting, and cell styles carry over into your slides.

2

Sign In and Create a Deck

Open the GoFixly task pane and sign in. Click New Deck on the ribbon, or open the Build tab and use the report switcher, to create a new PowerPoint report definition.

3

Add Slide Content

With the deck active, select a chart, table, or cell in Excel and click the matching ribbon button: Title, Comment, Table, Chart, or Picture. Charts export as high-resolution images; tables keep their borders, colors, and merged cells.

Let Find with AI in the Build tab suggest content from the active sheet if you'd rather not select everything by hand.

4

Sequence Your Slides

Slides follow your workbook's worksheet tab order. Drag content items within a worksheet's group to set the order they appear: lead with summary metrics, follow with detailed charts, close with conclusions.

5

Choose a Theme and Configure Settings

Open Presentation settings and pick a Presentation Theme for consistent branding, then fill in the required Title, Author Name, and Author Email (plus optional Subtitle and Organization fields) for the cover slide.

6

Review and Generate

Worksheets with a layout GoFixly can't parse are flagged before you can generate. Fix those in Excel first. Click Generate Presentation and GoFixly produces a PowerPoint file with your content arranged across slides, ready to download from the History tab.

Tips for Better Presentations

Keep slides focused

One key point per slide. Add a single chart or a concise table for each slide rather than combining several elements.

Design charts for projection

Use larger fonts and high-contrast colors in your Excel charts. What looks good on a monitor may be unreadable on a projector.

Use the same workbook for Word + PPT

Create a second report definition in the same workbook, detailed tables for a Word report and summary charts for a PowerPoint deck, from the same source data.

Regenerate when data changes

Update your Excel data and click Generate again. Your content selections and slide order stay the same; only the values update.
